iPhone Diss Ads : Verizon Droid Phone Mocks Apple Favorite with iDon’t Ad

Will the Verizon Droid be a serious challenger for the iPhone’s title of World’s Sexiest Gadget? Motorola, Google and Verizon, who teamed up to deliver the Droid, clearly think so. An aggressive ad campaign targeting the iPhone’s weak points, the iDon’t ad mocks Apple’s ads by listing the things that the iPhone can’t do. The Verizon Droid is rumored to be as small or slightly smaller than the iPhone with a slide-out keyboard.

Rumored specs include a powerful OMAP3430 processor, 5 megapixel camera, slideout QWERTY keyboard and touch screen, all housed in a super-compact package and running Android 2.0. Droid’s features include, running background tasks, and video recording support. Some of the differences mentioned, like the Droid’s inclusion of a physical keyboard, are really a matter of personal preference. Others, aren’t. For one, Droid can claim to run on “The Network”, which runs circles around AT&T.
